On Tuesday morning, almost 300 mayors and councilmembers will gather in Columbia for a day-long Municipal Elected Officials Institute. In addition to the basic classes offered in person and (some) on-demand through the Institute, the Association has launched an Advanced Institute where graduates can get additional training.
For elected officials who find travel difficult to attend these training sessions, the Association now has several MEO classes available on-demand. As well, newly elected officials can take the non-credited course, The Five Basics, immediately after the election.
